On June 19th, 2015, one of my best friends said "I do" . As a wedding planner, although you are used to being completely involved in every aspect of the wedding, you are also usually completely behind the scenes. This time, I was front in center, a part of the bridal party and my son was even the ring bearer. I must say, what a different experience! Although I did my best handling the timeline, steaming dresses, doing set up, etc., thank goodness there were three of us on site that day getting things done, being a wedding planner is no place for a bridesmaid! **Remember this brides when you are considering not hiring a professional :)
In this case, however, I couldn't imagine having it any other way, because Kristen & Brett deserved nothing less than the best for their special day. So, of course, I had to be a part of making this dream wedding come true for two of my favorite people. A beautiful couple inside and out, these two are a match made in heaven.
I've known Kristen for some time now, and I've seen her go through her share of not-so-perfect mates, and I must say, that from the beginning, I had a feeling Brett was different. I think she could tell too, suddenly things were "easy". Oh, "this is what it's supposed to be like", she'd tell me. And yes, this, is exactly what a-forever-perfect-husband-to-be-all-around-good-guy, is supposed to be like I'd tell her.
Kristen and Brett, I am so happy for the both of you! I cannot believe your wedding has now come and gone and I hope that it lived up to every long phone call spent planning, every penny spent, every Pinterest Pin pinned, and every hope and dream that you had envisioned for your wedding day.
From the beautiful florals that were perfectly-Kristen's style, bringing a touch of elegance to a perfect Hawaii sunset, to the too-cool-for-school wooden Ray Bay favors, to a Hawaii-inspired, sentimental, heart-felt ceremony, to the tear-jerking First Dance and Father Daughter Dance to the band Cynth and the What's His Faces, dancing outside on the terrace playing the violin and singing as guests did Patron shots and danced in sync ... I could not imagine a more fitting "Best Day Ever" for my best friend and the love of her life.
Oh, and incase I didn't mention it earlier, I don't think there has ever been a more drop-dead-gorgeous bride. Kristen, you were stunning! Brett, you cleaned up quite well yourself!
Congratulations to both Kristen and Brett! Thank you for trusting us with such an important moment. We hope it was everything you imagined and more! Love you both & Cheers to your "Best Day Ever"!
